About Riya Sinha

In 2011, the idea came to me to launch a website to help other girls connect through their creative work. With help from my family, I secured the domain name "Fuzia", which means a fusion of cultures through empowerment of young women. As founder of Fuzia, I work to make sure the website is the best for all girls who want to change the world for better. I am so happy to see the community that the Fuzia users have now created. We have over 3 million followers on social media, and more than 5000 girls using Fuzia. Later this year, we are planning to launch the first ever IOS and android phone applications of Fuzia. Fuzia has also been recognized by mainstream media:

  • Bfirst, a media company based in India ( http://www.bfirst.in/category/startups/the-story-of-fuzia-215593 )
  • Scoop Empire, an online magazine in Egypt

          (  http://scoopempire.com/fuzia-online-platform-empowering-creative-                      women-around-world/ ).

As an 11th grader at Palo Alto High School, I am a section editor for my school magazine, and in my free time, I like to read, write and travel.
